WIND EXPO 2023
Japan currently has less installed offshore wind capacity than some of its neighbours – but with 370GW of potential resource and an ambitious 10GW target by 2030, the Government is committed to driving the energy transition using this proven, dependable technology.
Japan’s first commercial-scale offshore wind farm just started commercial operations in the northern prefecture of Akita, and we’re already working with some of the leading companies in the sector to fill key roles in project development that will help drive the sector forward.
