Our client is a market leader in energy storage, active in more than 40 countries with an extensive operational portfolio. We are supporting them in the recruitment of a Contract & Claims Manager to join their team in Berlin or Erlangen.
The Contracts and Claims Manager EMEA will manage claims related to projects in the EMEA region, with a particular focus on Germany.
Responsibilities:
- Collect and process the relevant facts and documentation and analyse and evaluate these facts.
- Develop strategies for the enforcement or defence of claims.
- Part of the team that develops our commercial and legal strategy with our customers and suppliers in the event of mutual claims during a project.
- Prepare reports and recommendations on how best to deal with claims and disputes.
- Analyse project delays with the team and guide your colleagues in processing and documenting delays and other project impacts.
- Work closely with Commercial Project Managers, Project Managers and lawyers to assess and manage disputes and ensure we act in a fact-based, robust and reliable manner. Identify risks for the company correctly and comprehensively, report reliably and constantly think about avoidance strategies.
- Establish processes for claims management. If you see weaknesses, you address them and help to rectify them. Train and exchange ideas with your colleagues on how to support effective claims management.
- Work closely with various stakeholders and management and feel comfortable in the role of an active, reliable advisor.
Requirements:
- At least five years of experience in contract and claims management in (plant) construction.
- Renewable energy experience is preferred.
- Experience managing contracts, enforcing or defend claims from contracts, and developing strategies to mitigate risks in different markets in EMEA
- Impeccable ethics and a commitment to compliance and safety.
- Technical, commercial, or legal education.
- Ability to handle claims in German and English.
