Emma brings over 18 years of experience within the traditional energy sector, with an impressive track record of placing technical specialist roles across a range of projects.
She has been based in the USA for the last eight years, specialising in construction, safety, commissioning and QA/QC roles across the upstream, downstream and midstream oil and gas industry, including two years of driving new business into the chemicals industry.
The US offshore wind market is set for huge expansion, with a projected capacity of 35GW by 2030. Emma will now look to build out our US Offshore Wind Contract team, bringing new clients onboard and providing them with the world-class talent and services synonymous with Taylor Hopkinson and Brunel.
“I’m delighted to join the team at Taylor Hopkinson,” says Emma Davies. “Over the next few months my focus is on further developing our existing stakeholder relationships, collaborating closely with our European teams, showing new clients what we can offer, and supporting our growing headcount here in Houston.”
Emma will have a particular focus on all contract offshore wind project roles, from early development stage through to construction and completion, with a real focus on the US transferable skills market. Emma’s vast, diverse network, built up over the course of a decade in the energy sector, will play a crucial role in helping the key US players to build their project teams and achieve their ambitious offshore wind targets.
“This is a really exciting time to be involved in the offshore wind sector,” says Emma. “Thanks to the US Government’s ambitious targets, more pioneering offshore renewables projects are in development than ever before. I chose to join Taylor Hopkinson because I love the passion we have for our people here, and I’m really looking forward to seeing what we can achieve together.”
“I’m delighted Emma is bringing her considerable experience to Taylor Hopkinson to strengthen our Offshore Wind Contract team in the US,” says our CEO Tom Hopkinson. “Emma brings extensive experience the onshore and offshore energy market from Europe and, for the last eight years, the US. The disciplines and knowledge that form the core of her experience are directly applicable to the emerging offshore wind sector. Add to this Taylor Hopkinson’s networks and market expertise, coupled with Brunel’s mobility and training competencies, and we are set to play a leading role supporting the USA’s pioneering offshore wind projects as we grow Jones Act-compliant, specialist networks.”
