We have now opened our new office in Houston, Texas!
Houston Texas is widely known as the un-rivalled center for the American energy industry (an industry born of carbon-based fuels) but now, the Lone Star state, Texas, is beginning to evolve. It has now added more wind-based generating capacity than any other state in the U.S, with onshore wind energy accounting for 16% of electrical generating capacity as of April 2016 according to the Wall Street Journal. On all fronts the future is bright, with predictions that Texas will also see a boom in solar power. This is all goes hand-in-hand with historic progress in the shape of America’s first ever offshore wind project being completed, Deepwater Wind’s Block Island Wind Farm.
It sure seems like there are good times ahead for renewable energy and clean tech in the United States and Taylor Hopkinson are delighted to be a part of it. 🙂
