About the Role:
Join a dynamic finance team within an international renewable energy company, based in Amsterdam. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for financial accounting and reporting for Dutch and other European entities, ensuring compliance with IFRS and local GAAP. Your role will focus on maintaining accurate financial records, managing monthly closing processes, and supporting key financial operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee month-end and quarter-end closing, including reconciliations and financial reporting.
- Prepare and review journal entries, including those related to acquisitions and intercompany transactions.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and support process improvements.
- Assist with audits by providing required documentation.
- Support financial planning, including budgeting and forecasting.
- Supervise payroll accounting and ensure timely salary payments.
- Collaborate with internal teams on finance system improvements (Workday or BI).
- Assist in treasury-related activities, including dividend distributions.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting.
- Experience in an accounting role with IFRS knowledge.
- Familiarity with financial systems (Workday experience is a plus).
- Strong interpersonal skills to work with various stakeholders.
- Fluency in Dutch and English.
