About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and driven Asset Manager to oversee the operational performance and commercial optimisation of large-scale Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) projects (200MW+). In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of assets, managing key contracts, optimising revenue streams, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Fluent in English and Mandarin is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational & Performance Management: Ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of BESS assets, monitoring key performance indicators and resolving operational issues.
- Commercial & Revenue Optimisation: Manage energy trading strategies, optimise market participation (FCAS, arbitrage, grid services), and maximise asset revenue.
- Contract & Stakeholder Management: Oversee O&M, EPC, and grid connection agreements, ensuring compliance and performance against contractual obligations.
- Regulatory & Compliance Oversight: Ensure assets meet all regulatory, environmental, and safety requirements, liaising with market operators and regulators.
- Risk & Financial Management: Monitor financial performance, manage budgets, and develop strategies to mitigate risks and enhance asset value.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive asset lifecycle improvements, incorporating lessons learned and technological advancements.
About You
- Experience: Proven track record in asset management, operations, or commercial management of large-scale BESS, renewables, or energy infrastructure projects (200MW+ preferred).
- Technical & Market Knowledge: Strong understanding of battery technology, grid operations, and energy markets (NEM, frequency control, arbitrage, capacity markets).
- Commercial Acumen: Experience in contract management, energy trading, and revenue optimisation for energy assets.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Ability to manage relationships with operators, regulators, investors, and market participants.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Proactive mindset with the ability to analyse performance data and implement improvements.
- Qualifications: Engineering, finance, business, or relevant technical degree; MBA or additional energy market qualifications advantageous.
