Asset Manager

Position Overview:
We are seeking a hands-on Asset Manager to oversee and manage a portfolio of renewable energy projects across the region. The ideal candidate will have strong commercial acumen, the ability to analyse financial statements, and a solid understanding of financial models.This role requires an individual who can communicate effectively and articulate complex financial and operational information to both internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Portfolio Management:

  • Oversee the day-to-day management of a diverse portfolio of renewable energy assets, ensuring operational efficiency and maximization of returns.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of assets, identifying areas for improvement and driving corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with operations teams to ensure optimal asset performance and to address operational challenges promptly.

• Financial Analysis & Reporting:

  • Analyse financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to assess the financial health of assets.
  • Review and interpret financial models to evaluate asset profitability and identify potential risks.
  • Prepare regular reports for senior management, highlighting key financial metrics and asset performance insights.

• Commercial Acumen:

  • Understand market trends, energy pricing, and regulatory changes that may impact the portfolio’s performance.
  • Negotiate and manage contracts with vendors, suppliers, and off-takers to ensure favourable terms for the company.
  • Provide commercial input on potential new investments and divestitures in line with corporate strategy.

• Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Serve as the key point of contact for internal teams, investors, and external partners.
  • Clearly articulate the performance and strategy of the portfolio in meetings, presentations, and reports.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, legal, and operations, to ensure cohesive management of assets.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in asset management, portfolio management, or a similar role within the renewable energy sector.
• Strong financial acumen with the ability to read and interpret financial statements and financial models.
• Hands-on experience in business management, including operations, finance, or sales/commercial functions.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
