Taylor Hopkinson has partnered with a global renewable energy solutions provider supporting large-scale infrastructure and construction projects across international markets. The organisation is expanding its project execution capability in Japan and is seeking a motivated project professional to support safe, efficient delivery of complex projects.
Role Overview
We are looking for a Assistant Project Manager to support the Project Manager across the full project lifecycle-from initiation and planning through execution and close-out. This role plays a key part in coordinating stakeholders, maintaining governance standards, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities

Support the Project Manager in initiating, planning, controlling, and closing project activities

Ensure projects are executed in line with agreed scope, schedule, budget, contracts, and execution strategy

Coordinate contractors, vendors, customers, and site teams on operational requirements

Track customer deliverables and ensure timely, accurate information flow

Support QHSE initiatives and promote a strong safety-first culture on site

Maintain internal project governance, reporting, and management system requirements

Contribute to effective stakeholder alignment across technical, commercial, and operational teams
Candidate Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction, Contracts, or a related discipline

3-5 years of project management experience in large-scale construction or infrastructure projects

Candidates with 5-7 years of experience are preferred

Experience with modular construction projects is highly desirable

Strong understanding of project value chains and commercial drivers

Familiarity with Stage Gate models, risk management, and new product introduction processes

Solid contractual and technical awareness

Project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, IPMA, or equivalent) preferred

Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with SAP, BI tools, or ERP systems is an advantage
