Role Overview

We are looking for a Assistant Project Manager to support the Project Manager across the full project lifecycle-from initiation and planning through execution and close-out. This role plays a key part in coordinating stakeholders, maintaining governance standards, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Project Manager in initiating, planning, controlling, and closing project activities

  • Ensure projects are executed in line with agreed scope, schedule, budget, contracts, and execution strategy

  • Coordinate contractors, vendors, customers, and site teams on operational requirements

  • Track customer deliverables and ensure timely, accurate information flow

  • Support QHSE initiatives and promote a strong safety-first culture on site

  • Maintain internal project governance, reporting, and management system requirements

  • Contribute to effective stakeholder alignment across technical, commercial, and operational teams

Candidate Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction, Contracts, or a related discipline

  • 3-5 years of project management experience in large-scale construction or infrastructure projects

    • Candidates with 5-7 years of experience are preferred

  • Experience with modular construction projects is highly desirable

  • Strong understanding of project value chains and commercial drivers

  • Familiarity with Stage Gate models, risk management, and new product introduction processes

  • Solid contractual and technical awareness

  • Project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, IPMA, or equivalent) preferred

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with SAP, BI tools, or ERP systems is an advantage

  • Clear, professional communicator in both Japanese and English (written and verbal)

  • Customer-focused and solution-oriented approach

  • Culturally aware and comfortable working in international environments

  • Willingness to travel as required

  • Valid Japanese driver’s license
