Energy Solutions Division: The Energy Solutions division focuses on developing and manufacturing stationary energy storage batteries, ranging from backup power to large-scale storage systems. The technology portfolio includes various lead-acid and lithium-ion technologies, supporting the global energy transition and digitisation.

Specialisation: The Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) business specialises in solutions for utility-scale and commercial & industrial (C&I) sectors, including renewable energy, time shift, self-consumption, frequency control, peak shaving, fast charging, and energy trading. These solutions are utilised for electric vehicle charging and renewable energy integration, both on- and off-grid.

About the Job:

  • Location: Germany (remote)
  • Travel Requirements: Regular travel to the R&D centre in the Netherlands and to customers.

Daily Responsibilities:

  • Search for new business and develop it in line with the agreed strategy.
  • Accountable for sales, sales revenue, gross margin, debt, and customer contact in the defined area. Work to achieve and exceed revenue budgets.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with all customers and agreed Key Accounts to ensure product specification.
  • Grow existing business and seek new development opportunities. Provide estimates of potential pipeline, new and prospect accounts. Have a clear strategy and development plan for each.
  • Maintain regular contact and visits to all agreed key accounts to ensure high standards of service.
  • Work cross-functionally to resolve specific customer performance issues within the time requirements of agreed key accounts, acting as an effective Crisis Manager.
  • Work within the company’s Contract Review Process.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to develop industry/customer-specific marketing programs to grow the business at agreed key accounts. Monitor and track market trends.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a relevant field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in a similar sales management role.
  • Experience in developing customer relationships and negotiating.
  • Knowledge and understanding of how to grow key account business.
  • Knowledge of Energy Storage Systems (ESS) Market.
  • Advanced English and German skills (written and spoken).
