Key Responsibilities:
- Design, engineer, and optimise utility-scale energy storage systems and work closely with the sales team to offer engineering solutions to sales and customers.
- Analyse RFP documentation and assess project scope and risk.
- Conduct technical design and presentations, providing clarifications to the sales team and customers.
- Understand, interpret, and relay customer requirements into BESS technical solution designs.
- Review and submit technical tender response bundles within deadlines.
- Follow up and analyse previous technical tender submissions to understand outcomes/results from a technical point of view.
- Stay updated with storage market technical and engineering requirements and trends.
- Study the competitive landscape for ongoing product technical solution development.
- Collaborate with customers and commercial teams to support contract negotiations from a technical perspective.
Qualification and Expertise:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Energy Engineering.
- Fluency in technical English.
- 5+ years of experience in a relevant field, preferably including experience working for a DNO or TSO.
- Working knowledge of battery systems, power conversion systems, PPC/EMS/SCADA, and grid connection processes for jurisdictions under your management.
- Familiarity with grid operator processes.
- Solid understanding of regulatory requirements and standards for BESS systems.
- Ability to size the Power Converter System (PCS) and battery system.
Filter Questions (MUST HAVE):
- Experience with large-scale (>5MW) Battery Energy Storage Systems.
- Knowledge of AC & DC systems.
- Experience with PCS/Inverter and grid connection at medium and high voltage.
- Proficiency in control software: PPC/EMS/SCADA.
- Experience in renewable or storage project management or proposal processes.
- Knowledge of Lithium-Ion Technology (LFP).

Germany (remote with travel to meet clients)
