BU Head, BESS
We are partnering a leading BESS company, looking for a BU Head for their Green Energy Division, responsible for the integration, promotion, and operational management of the company's energy solutions, including Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), Energy Management Systems (EMS), and advanced UPS systems for data centers. This role requires Fluent in Both Chinese and English, must be a citizen of Taiwan.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategy & Growth
- Develop a long-term business roadmap for AI data center energy solutions, BESS, and EMS.
- Oversee P&L and business performance, ensuring revenue and profitability targets are met.
- Report market insights and business results to the leadership team.
Market & Business Development
- Lead expansion in Southeast Asia (Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam) and strengthen Taiwan’s energy storage market presence.
- Build and maintain strategic partnerships with power utilities, IDC operators, and government stakeholders.
- Define commercial strategy, pricing models, and partnership structures to drive sustainable growth.
Technology & Product Leadership
- Work closely with R&D on modular BESS design, EMS cloud architecture, and UPS innovation.
- Promote the integration of AI, IoT, and VPP technologies to create a competitive advantage.
- Ensure products meet international safety and certification standards.
Financial & Risk Management
- Manage BU budgets, P&L, cash flow, and investment returns.
- Build financial models for pricing, bidding, and risk-return evaluation.
Organization & Talent Development
- Build and lead a high-performance team across multiple geographies.
- Develop future leaders and foster strong cross-functional collaboration.
- Implement KPI-driven culture with clear accountability and growth incentives.
Ideal Profile:
- 8+ years of experience in the energy or power systems industry, with P&L leadership.
- Solid background in BESS / EMS / UPS systems and project finance.
- Strong market insight in Taiwan’s energy sector, with experience expanding into Southeast Asia.
- Strategic thinker with hands-on leadership capability.
- Fluency in Mandarin and English.
