Business Development Director APAC, Renewables

Taylor Hopkinson is working with a global offshore wind contractor to recruit a Business Development Director APAC, Renewables. This is a strategic role, requiring outstanding stakeholder management skills, which will define the approach to capture business opportunities in APAC markets. With a fabrication partner and a track record delivering execution services to Taiwan offshore market, you will be tasked with growing the operations to other markets in APAC (e.g. South Korea, , Australia..)

Taylor Hopkinson is working with a global offshore wind contractor to recruit a Business Development Director APAC, Renewables. This is a strategic role, requiring outstanding stakeholder management skills, which will define the approach to capture business opportunities in APAC markets. With a fabrication partner and a track record delivering execution services to Taiwan offshore market, you will be tasked with growing the operations to other markets in APAC (e.g. South Korea, , Australia..)

The Role:

  • Identify and develop business opportunities for the Renewables division (EPC projects, Service projects, Studies/FEED)
  • Build and maintain relationships with APAC-based OWF developers.
  • Maintain and manage relationship with fabrication partner; be their contact point on the commercial/market side.
  • Establish and build relation with possible future regional partners
  • Support in managing the relation with our strategic regional supply chain partners
  • In general: be a senior representative in the APAC region
  • Work closely with the Tender and Sales teams in European offices to support successful tender processes. Often our clients have a footprint both in Europe and in APAC.
  • Work closely with the Studies team and help secure order intake
  • Report on regional trends and developments and drive APAC strategy.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years experience in the energy business. Experience in offshore wind is preferred.
  • Experience with business development, stakeholder management and sales processes
  • Familiarity with the APAC region and -business is highly preferred
  • A technical background is highly preferred
  • Experience with EPC projects is preferred
  • A personality that operates efficiently both in a commercial and technical environment, and across different (business) cultures.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with strong interpersonal skills conducive to positive working relationships both internally and externally.
  • Availability to travel as needed to company countries of operation (APAC and other).
