We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Business Development Manager with expertise in permit applications and pre-development stages of renewable energy projects. In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting project initiation, from securing permits to engaging with stakeholders, ensuring that projects are set up for success from the outset. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage permit application processes for renewable energy projects, including identifying and mitigating potential permitting obstacles.
- Support the pre-development stage by conducting site assessments, feasibility studies, and risk analyses to inform project decisions.
- Engage with government bodies, regulatory agencies, local councils, and other key stakeholders to secure necessary permits and approvals.
- Collaborate with internal teams on project planning, time lines, and resource allocation to meet permitting requirements.
- Assist in strategic business development activities to expand project pipelines and ensure alignment with company goals.
- Identify market opportunities and track industry trends to position projects for success in a competitive renewable energy market.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- Proven experience in business development within the renewable energy sector, with a focus on permitting and pre-development stages.
- Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks, permitting processes, and compliance in the renewable energy industry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong organisational and project management skills, with attention to detail and an ability to navigate complex regulatory environments.
