Responsibilities:
- Discover and pursue potential business opportunities within Australia’s solar and renewable energy sectors.
- Lead efforts to secure essential permits, agreements, and approvals for solar project advancements.
- Formulate and execute strategies to meet sales targets and broaden market influence.
- Manage the planning, scheduling, and tracking of milestones for solar energy projects.
- Cultivate and nurture strong relationships with clients, government agencies, and local partners to advance project initiatives.
- Ensure timely project delivery by coordinating tasks and resources with internal teams and external consultants.
- Create and share detailed reports on project development progress and business activities.
- Analyze and interpret policy, regulatory, and market trends to guide strategic planning.
- Assess and address potential risks associated with projects by collaborating with relevant teams to devise mitigation strategies.
- Inspire and motivate team members to take ownership of their responsibilities and achieve desired outcomes.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role within the renewable energy industry, particularly in solar energy.
- Extensive experience in managing the preparation and submission of documents for securing permits and approvals for solar projects, ideally from inception to completion.
- Proven success in negotiating with key stakeholders in both governmental and private sectors.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a closely related field, with an advanced degree such as an MBA being a plus.
- Demonstrated capability in leading teams and overseeing complex project management tasks.
- Excellent communication abilities, both written and spoken, with fluency in English.
- Strong skills in conducting research, performing analyses, and solving problems.
- Highly proactive and organized with a meticulous approach to detail, focused on delivering results.
- Competence in managing multiple tasks under pressure while working independently or remotely.
- Familiarity with the latest renewable energy technologies, including solar inverters and energy storage systems.
- Willingness to undertake travel within Australia and internationally as necessary.
- A strong professional network within Australia’s renewable energy sector is advantageous.
