Business Development Representative – German Speaker

**Fluent German and English speaker. Location: Barcelona, Spain. This is NOT a remote position. My client is a technology company focused on making green energy generation machines. They are now expanding its operations to Europe and is seeking a fluent German and English speaking Business Development Representative to join their team in Barcelona.

As a BDR, you will be a key player in our sales engine, driving growth through essential lead generation activities. This role is crucial as you will often be the first impression potential customers have of our company. Your duties will focus on account mapping, outreach, and teamwork with sales managers.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead Generation:

    • Conduct outreach to potential customers via email, LinkedIn, and cold calling.
  • Qualification:

    • Perform initial qualifications of potential customers before scheduling meetings with account executives.
  • Market Research and Account Mapping:

    • Familiarise yourself with target markets and identify untapped potential customers. Add these prospects to our HubSpot database.
  • CRM Management:

    • Maintain and update all client interactions in HubSpot, ensuring accurate records.
  • Collaboration:

    • Work with cross-functional teams, including technology experts and data scientists, to incorporate insights into improving renewable energy assets.
  • Reporting:

    • Provide regular updates to the Head of Sales on your KPIs, market trends, and other relevant information.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • Achieving lead generation targets.

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of experience in lead generation roles (BDR, SDR, or similar) within a SaaS company, preferably in a data-driven or technical domain.
  • High energy and a proactive approach to responsibilities.
  • Ability to understand and communicate the value of technical solutions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, economics, engineering, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Experience with CRM systems; familiarity with HubSpot is a plus.
  • Stakeholder management experience.
  • Fluency in German and English.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of the Sustainability/Energy/Renewables sector.
