Cable Loadout & Transportation

Cable Loadouts and Transportation required for a major Offshore Wind Farm Client based in the Netherlands.

Responsibilities

  • Looking after cables loadout and transportation.
  • Covering the loadout at Manufacturer.
  • Load-in to Marshalling Harbour.
  • Loadout at Port to the vessel.
  • Monitor cable handling during loading onto transport vessels or storage carousels.
  • Ensure compliance with project-specific QA/QC plans, HSE requirements, and handling procedures.
  • Conduct visual inspections for physical damage, armoring issues, and sheath integrity.
  • Witness and document cable tests (e.g., OTDR, TDR, insulation resistance).
  • Coordinate with cable manufacturer, client representatives, vessel crew, and project engineers.
  • Maintain detailed loadout records, photographs, and non-conformance reports (NCRs) if needed.

Requirements

  • Technical diploma or degree in Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
  • Full and valid GWOs.
  • Relevant quality or inspection certifications (e.g., ISO 9001, IRCA, CSWIP) preferred.
  • 3+ years’ experience working with subsea cables.
  • EU working rights.
