Commercial Support FOU T&I for a major offshore wind developer based in Germany.
Responsibilities.
- Commercial advisory and management of “Foundation Transport and Installation.
- Improvement of the commercial and contractual position of the project as employer under the contract.
- Considering the commercial, contractual and legal perspective in close interaction with the package team and the respective experts.
- Close interaction with a small package team consisting of the Package Manager, the Contract Manager, the Legal Counsel and Technical Experts.
- Reporting to the package management and the legal and finance leadership in the project.
- Support and steer decision making process within the package team, to act quickly in dynamic situations.
- Ability to understand construction contracts in all relevant aspects and details without extensive induction.
- Negotiate together with the team, to enforce the position of the employe.
- Identify commercial risks related to the contract and devise strategies to overcome them.
- Capability to minute contractual meetings and to create and justify commercial recommendations for actions.
Requirements
- Degree in economics, law or industrial engineering and professional experience in commercial (contract) management for offshore constriction activities.
- Good knowledge of contract law – especially German works contracts.
- German and English are business fluent, combined with excellent writing skills and the ability to communicate contractual risks and their possible implications to non-lawyers in a way that is easy to understand.
- Ability to think strategically and to act as a solution-oriented team-player
- Ability to understand construction contracts in all relevant aspects and details without extensive induction.
- Used to work in a dynamic construction project and to deliver results under pressure independently.
- Good analytical and negotiating skills, assertiveness, and a hands-on mentality.
- Regular presence in the Hamburg based project office.
