HVDC Commissioning Manager/Lead required for Offshore Wind Farm

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the electrical supervision, electrical quality control and commissioning activities.
  • Manage overall commissioning planning, time schedule, quality control and test verification during the offshore commissioning phase.
  • Participate in a 14/14 rota together with three (3) other HVDC OCS Commissioning Managers, of which one of them will be the Lead HVDC OCS Commissioning Manager.
  • To ensure on time commissioning of the HVDC OCS for successful handover to Operation.
  • Manage the offshore commissioning organisation within the full electrical scope.
  • Manage the overall commissioning planning within the agreed commissioning schedule and contractual payment milestones within the project.
  • Manage Employer’s commissioning supervision & HV Authorised Person team and ensure an Owner’s Team mindset and behaviour, and safe execution of associated work.
  • Coordinate HVDC OCS commissioning with grid company / authorities / Lead Windfarm Commissioning Manager / SAP (Control Engineers).
  • Coordinate HVDC OCS energisation-, commissioning- and close-out activities performed by Contractor and Client.
  • Ensure the energisation and commissioning activities are following Client HSE rules, Client Electrical Safety Rules and local legislation.
  • Secure quality of commissioning works and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with Critical to Quality & Critical to Functionality deliverables as per agreed requirements.
  • Report commissioning progress & participate in commissioning meetings.

Requirements:

  • Five (5) years of relevant project experience required – preferable within HVDC commissioning.
  • Good project management & coordination skills, and a talent for driving solutions to achieve outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
  • A strong personal drive and a proactive mindset.
  • Commissioning experience within the field of HVDC, MV/HV equipment, SCADA, low voltage & utility systems and components.
  • Experience with offshore substation work
  • Shall be qualified to obtain GWO & HUET.
