Construction Leader required for a Major Energy Developer on the East Coast.
Responsibilities:
Spend at least 90% of the workday in the field, addressing issues with the contractor and project management team.
Monitor field quality of work and materials to ensure compliance with project specifications, regulatory codes, and company standards.
Conduct site inspections to assess work quality and material usage by vendors and subcontractors.
Identify and report any deviations from contract specifications to the Construction Manager and/or Project Manager.
Provide quality inspection reports and status updates as needed.
Communicate effectively with contractors, engineers, and management, providing feedback and raising any concerns encountered.
Maintain an understanding of safety, environmental compliance, and operational standards, ensuring all personnel adhere to them.
Qualify for fieldwork, including confined spaces, climbing stairs/ladders, and wearing a respirator.
Ensure a strong focus on Safety and Environmental Compliance for all project activities.
Requirements:
At least 5 years of experience in construction, engineering, and/or management.
Strong understanding of construction practices, equipment, and scheduling.
Ability to effectively prioritize tasks and work independently.
Skilled in reading and interpreting technical drawings and manuals.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Familiarity with OSHA industrial safety standards.
OSHA 30 certification preferred.
