Construction Manager (Offshore) required for a major transmission system operator based in Belgium
Responsibilities
- Reports to the AC package manager
- Coordinates client reps (safety, structural, corrosion protection and potentially other discipline)
- Is responsible (from client point of view) for:
- Quality control (risk based)
- Progress reporting
- Health Safety and Environmental control of the EPC contractor (risk based) (with support from the HSE officer)
- Staffing plan for client reps
- Hiring + integration of client reps (introduction to project, follow-up,…)
- Review of method statements, Risk analysis, procedures (ensuring Quality and timely completion by EPC contractor)
- Shall pro-actively identify risks + opportunities and propose mitigation plans
- Is the SPOC for construction towards the EPC contractor
- Is supported by discipline leads/engineers (structural, utilities, High Voltage,…)
- Coordinates with other disciplines within the team eg; Utilities, HV equipment, Civil Works, T&I, HSE, & other packages
Requirements
- You have at least 10 years of relevant working experience
- Experience in the offshore sector is a must
- Experience with topside Fabrication is a must
- Working knowledge of structural and corrosion protection is a large plus
- Working knowledge of other disciplines (Electrical, Instrumentation, Telecom, Mechanical,…) is a plus
- Education: Engineer (preferably structural)
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Working in team and structured
- A quick learner
- Excellent MS Office skills
