Construction Project Manager, Romania

Taylor Hopkinson is in the search of a Construction Project Manager for a leading renewable company that is specialized in the development, construction, operation and asset management of solar PV and onshore wind projects.

This person will be responsible for managing a relevant portfolio of projects in Romania from the brownfield stage, including the construction until the COD.

Role

  • Support the development team during the licencing and building permits to obtain the RTB stage
  • Once the projects are about to start the construction, tendering and negotiation with local EPC companies
  • While supervising the construction, be in contact with local authorities, external advisors, EPC contractors, etc
  • Review the engineering documents and managing the budget during the different stages
  • Ensure the local EPC contractor is working on the expected performance, supervising the local team on site
  • Supervise the projects are being delivered within the quality and economical metrics as well as ensure the H&S compliance
  • Evaluate possible risks that affect the normal performance of the project to make timely decisions, mitigate them or reduce their impacts
  • Report project status, manage the financial aspects of the projects and optimize some processes if needed
  • Support during the grid connection stage

Requirements

  • Professional Bachelor, ideally Electrical Engineering but open as long as the person has knowledge of electrical systems
  • Experience during the stage of construction of solar or wind large-scale projects is mandatory
  • Project Management knowledge would be appreciated
  • Fluent in English and Romanian
  • Willingness to travel locally and abroad when required (headquarters)
