T&I Contract Engineer required for a major offshore wind developer based in France
Responsibilities
- Consolidate market intelligence for this procurement segment
- Consolidate supplier intelligence for marine installation vessel suppliers associated with OFW developments
- Run multidisciplinary workshops (structural engineers, legal experts, project engineers)
- Perform market pricing and benchmark analyses utilising appropriate models and market indexes
- Organise supply chain consultations including preparing meetings with supply chain and administration of Request for Information exercises, in consultation with technical duets and internal stakeholders.
- Prepare tender deliverables,
- Administrate and run Call For Tenders and analyze results
- Qualify suppliers,
- Negotiate contractual terms and conditions / variations in agreements,
- Analyse, summarise, and Present or support the presentation of outcomes to management.
- Ensure Client compliance and ethics processes respected in delivering the scope
- Ensure apporpriate consultation of technical duets and internal stakeholders in delivering scope
- Ensure proper document management and templates respected in scope delivery
Requirements
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, ability to work cross-functionally, flexibility.
- Familiarity with offshore operations such as pipelaying, platform installation, dredging activities, cable laying etc.
- English speaking is mandatory. French and Chinese is a plus.
- Experience in commercial & contractual negotiations and models in offshore marine industry.
- Solid knowledge of offshore transportation and installation industry and activities.
- International experience in industry
- Proficiency in Power BI is welcome
- Familiarity with o Offshore wind installation methodologies including foundation, turbine, cable and sub-station installation –
- Experience in complex construction contracts negotiation,
- Experience in preparation of bid documents: commercial structure and contractual terms
- Graduated from an engineering or business school – Bachelor’s degree as minimum.
- Robust understanding of industrial projects in Oil&Gas or Renewables energies. –
- Supplier management and relationship skills – Expert
- Ability to use digital tools in procurement (e.g. SAP, e-sourcing etc) in the contracting process
- Experience in contracting and supply chain management
- Experience in bid preparation, evaluation and tender process through to contract award –
- Analytical and synthesis abilities, rigor.
