Taylor Hopkinson is hiring for a Delivery Director for our client, a global leader in green technology and renewable energy, supporting their growth in the German market.
We are looking to hire a strategic and results-driven Delivery Director to lead the implementation of utility-scale Wind and BESS projects in Germany. This individual will manage the full delivery lifecycle-from contract award to commissioning and handover-while ensuring alignment with safety, quality, cost, and schedule objectives.
This senior leadership role interfaces across internal functions including engineering, development, supply chain, and construction, as well as with external partners and regulatory bodies.
Responsibilities:
- Project Delivery Leadership: Direct the full-cycle delivery of Wind and BESS projects throughout Germany.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Coordinate with procurement, engineering, development, construction, and operations teams to drive execution.
- Program Management: Oversee multiple projects through design, permitting, construction, and commissioning phases.
- Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure compliance with all local regulations, health and safety standards, and environmental guidelines.
- Stakeholder Management: Cultivate productive relationships with grid operators, authorities, contractors, and clients.
- Team Building: Recruit and lead a high-performing project delivery team, leveraging both local and global resources.
- Financial Oversight: Manage budgets, cost forecasting, and contractual obligations in coordination with finance teams.
- Operational Excellence: Identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency.
Knowledge and Experience Required:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, Project Management, or a related discipline.
- 10+ years’ experience in renewable energy project delivery, with 5+ years in a senior leadership capacity.
- Demonstrated success in delivering Wind and/or BESS projects within the German energy market.
- In-depth understanding of EPC contracts, construction practices, and commissioning protocols.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Fluency in German and English is essential.
- Willingness to travel within Germany and occasionally across Europe.
