The Deputy Head – Solutions will be responsible for overseeing technical and commercial solutions for onshore wind business in India. Working closely with the Head of Solutions and cross-functional teams, you will ensure optimal project design, stakeholder engagement, and delivery of bankable solutions to meet customer requirements. This role requires a deep understanding of onshore wind technology, project development, and execution, as well as strong leadership skills to manage teams and engage with clients and partners at a senior level.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead solution development for onshore wind projects, ensuring technical excellence, cost competitiveness, and customer alignment.
- Collaborate with internal teams (engineering, sales, commercial, and operations) to design integrated project solutions.
- Provide technical leadership during bidding, contract negotiation, and project delivery phases.
- Support the Head of Solutions in defining long-term strategy, driving innovation, and aligning solutions with global best practices.
- Manage relationships with key customers, partners, suppliers, and consultants, ensuring delivery of value-added solutions.
- Oversee the preparation of technical proposals, risk assessments, and feasibility analyses.
- Mentor and guide a team of engineers and solution specialists, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Stay updated on market trends, competitor offerings, and regulatory changes to enhance positioning in India’s wind sector.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Renewable Energy, or related field).
- 15-20 years of experience in the onshore wind sector, with extensive exposure to solution design, project engineering, and delivery.
- Proven track record in leading technical or solution teams for large-scale wind projects in India or internationally.
- Strong knowledge of wind turbine technology, project development, grid integration, and related commercial aspects.
- Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on technical and commercial problem solving.
- Strong communication skills in English; knowledge of regional languages is a plus.
