Development Manager

Taylor Hopkinson is searching for an experienced PV Development Manager for a leading European solar energy developer.

The job location is Athens, Greece.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day management of a pipeline of projects in development.
• Be responsible for portfolio management of the pipeline, including reporting, budget monitoring, and information flow to the country manager in Greece, board members, and other stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with policies, approvals, and corporate governance.
• Liaise and work with the partners, contractors, external consultants, project stakeholders such as landowners, government entities, regional authorities, and municipalities.
• Provide input on project acquisitions and coordinate due diligence on new opportunities.
• Provide input to the project in the financial close phase from a development perspective.
• Take on full responsibility for the projects under your management.
• Lead all activities and think outside the box regarding solutions for all issues that arise.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of actual and demonstrable experience in the development of renewable energy projects (wind and solar).
• A thorough understanding of the development process in Greece.
• A strong technical understanding of development and environmental issues.
• The ability to assess projects’ characteristics and risks.
• A relevant university degree in environmental science, engineering, or finance.
• Project management experience/qualifications.
• A postgraduate degree in the aforementioned disciplines.
