Taylor Hopkinson is searching for an experienced Development Manager for a leading European solar energy developer.
The job location is Milan, Italy.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and coordinate project delivery from development through construction to operation.
- Act as the local representative and primary contact for development partners.
- Ensure Cero’s standards and policies are incorporated into all projects.
- Provide input on project acquisitions.
- Oversee day-to-day administration of a project pipeline, including reporting, information flow, policies, and corporate governance.
- Liaise with partners, contractors, external consultants, and project stakeholders such as DSO, TSO, landowners, government entities, and local councils.
- Develop strong working relationships with development partners to ensure obligations are met and accurate reporting.
- Manage specialist third-party advisors and identify changes to the scope of their services.
- Assist in onboarding new service providers.
- Evaluate renewable energy project opportunities and complete initial due diligence assessments.
- Work with the Project Delivery team to prepare for project construction and assist during the construction process.
- Monitor project development during the construction phase (construction management experience is favorable).
Qualifications:
- Relevant university degree in environmental science, engineering, or finance.
- 6+ years of experience in renewable energy projects in Italy.
- Strong track record in project development and delivery.
- Deep understanding of the Italian renewable energy sector.
- Fluent spoken and written English and Italian.
- Additional European language skills desirable.
