Taylor Hopkinson is currently in active pursuit of a leading and rapidly growing company in the solar racking and tracker sector is seeking an ambitious and energetic Director of Business Development to expand its U.S. customer base. This role is focused on driving sustainable growth through increased sales and strong relationships with solar project owners, developers, and IPPs.
Key Responsibilities

Build a strong B2B sales pipeline in the renewable energy sector

Engage with solar developers and asset owners to secure project approvals and awards

Research market drivers, geographies, and pricing strategies

Stay informed on solar technologies and industry developments

Analyze competitors and refine market approach

Lead client qualification processes and manage relationships throughout the sales cycle

Deliver presentations, respond to RFQs, and prepare commercial proposals

Negotiate and close contracts with customers

Maintain detailed customer records, forecasts, and CRM entries

Attend relevant industry events, conferences, and webinars
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, or related field; Master’s preferred

Minimum 5 years of sales experience in solar (modules, inverters, trackers, or transformers)

Technical acumen with the ability to read specifications and drawings

Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills

Willingness to travel up to 50%
