Electrical Engineer (電気主任技術者)

Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot technical issues to minimize equipment downtime and maintain high availability.

  • Collaborate closely with the O&M contractor (Japanese fluency required).

  • Develop annual maintenance and inspection plans with the O&M contractor.

  • Provide technical support for warranty management, spare parts, and insurance claims.

  • Work with external experts to identify and resolve long-term plant performance issues.

  • Negotiate with suppliers on warranty matters from a technical perspective.

  • Comply with all site-specific health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations.

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of experience in solar projects.

  • Preferred certifications: Chief Electrical Engineer (Class 3 or higher) or Electrical Construction Management Engineer (Level 1).

  • Knowledge of solar-related equipment (inverters, substations, PV modules, etc.).

  • Experience using monitoring systems for plant and equipment performance.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Valid standard driving license.

Language Requirements:

  • Native-level Japanese.

  • Business-level English (TOEIC 500+ or equivalent reading/writing proficiency; verbal communication skills preferred).
