The position is based in Cork Area, Ireland.
You will report to the Chemical & Environmental Manager and be responsible for all environmental compliance and ensuring strong relationships with all stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Ensuring compliance with environmental licences, GHG permits, and maintaining ISO 14001 accreditation.
- Supporting environmental compliance for site projects from initial concept through to execution, ensuring alignment with licence conditions and the Environmental Management System (EMS)
- Monitoring compliance with national environmental legislation, corporate standards, and industry guidelines.
- Preparing and delivering accurate environmental reports and metrics to relevant internal and external sakeholders, including regulatory bodies
- Overseeing chemical safety, including legionella control, on-site inspections, risk evaluations, and contractor activities.
Requirements:
- A degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role
- Proven knowledge and practical experience with ISO 14001, Industrial Emissions (IE) licences, and GHG permits
- Familiarity with chemical safety and environmental legislation.
- Ability to manage contractors and oversee compliance from both environmental and chemical safety perspectives
- A valid driver’s license
