The Regional Head of Finance for Japan will have full responsibility for all financial matters in Japan including operational sites and sites under development.
The role will also be responsible for resourcing and managing the Japan finance team so that it can achieve all the goals of the company. In order to do this, building a strong, knowledgeable and independent team is critical.
There are a number of important stakeholders for the role including: The Regional VP in helping to deliver the business strategy and objectives for the Region; the investors in the data centres who are located both Tokyo and Boston; and the Group Finance team located in London.
Leadership & Management

Lead the finance and operational procurement functions in Japan

Member of Japan’s Senior Management Team, contributing to overall business success

Partner with local and global teams to deliver high-quality financial insights

Manage outsourced finance functions and oversee shareholder/board reporting
Financial Performance & Planning

Lead financial planning: budgets, forecasts, and long-term projections

Manage operational/project budgets and ensure financial targets are met

Oversee reporting (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) and revenue lifecycle

Support commercial negotiations and drive profitability and cost efficiencies
Governance & Control

Ensure compliance with financial regulations and corporate governance

Improve financial controls, policies, and processes

Govern commercial models, reconcile project costs, and manage financial risk

Handle statutory reporting and tax matters, both routine and strategic
Tax, Treasury & Cash Management

Manage local cash flow and treasury operations

Contribute to regional treasury strategy

Forecast cash flow across short, medium, and long terms
