We are working with a global leader in renewable energy who are currently recruiting for a Finance Manager to provide finance support for their Japan onshore wind and renewable energy projects.
Your role will focus on: project finance, cash management and financial planning.
Background and Job Overview: We have a rich pipeline of development projects and are currently operating two solar power plants and six wind power plants, including offshore projects, in Japan. We place a strong emphasis on business development aimed at coexistence and co-prosperity with local communities, and we continue to manage operations for projects developed and constructed by our group even after they become operational.
We establish SPCs (Special Purpose Companies) for each project and handle project financing and fund formation individually. This recruitment is to fill a vacancy in the cash management and fund management roles within the group.
Job Responsibilities: As the main person in charge of cash management for the entire group, you will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Forecast cash needs for individual projects and the entire corporate group, and secure the necessary funds.
- Manage the group’s overall budget and actuals, analyze discrepancies, and report internally.
- Monitor and regularly report on fund investment projects.
- Manage funds within the group.
- Handle all interactions with fund investors.
- Manage funds based on project finance contracts for projects under construction, including coordination with banks.
Requirements:
- Experience in cash management and financial planning.
- Skills in building and creating various calculation files in Excel.
- Experience creating external presentation materials using Microsoft PowerPoint and Word.
- Strong analytical skills with numbers.
- Self-management skills to proactively and timely advance responsibilities.
- Proficiency in reading and writing English, as many loan and project-related contracts are in English.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in fund management companies.
- Experience in project finance.
