At Taylor Hopkinson, we are seeking a Finance Manager for one of our most important clients, a multinational leader in renewable energy, renowned for its commitment to sustainability and innovation in clean energy projects globally, to be responsible for financial management in this country, where the company also has a presence.
Location: Bucharest, Romania.
Contract type: Full-time, permanent.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor the financial performance of projects (P&L, cash flow, actual vs. budget, etc.), ensuring accuracy and control.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts, cash flows, forecasts, and other relevant reports.
- Participate in project budget preparation in collaboration with the Project Director.
- Participate in contract negotiations (Clients – Sub-Contractors) on financial matters.
- Ensure the accurate and timely recording of financial results, in accordance with local standards and IFRS.
- Be responsible for timely and proper compliance with local tax authorities.
- Manage the company’s bank relations regarding payments, receipts, and foreign currency transactions.
- Coordinate all financial and administrative matters with local authorities in collaboration with the Project Director.
- Coordinate labor and legal matters in cooperation with the HQ’s HR and Legal departments.
Requirements:
- University degree in Finance and/or Accounting. A master’s degree in the field will be considered an asset.
- At least 4 years of relevant professional experience (preferably in the construction industry – EPC).
- Experience in financial reporting under IFRS and familiarity with key accounting judgments for engineering services businesses and accounting for long-term projects.
- Excellent command of English and Romanian (both oral and written).
- Solid knowledge of Accounting, General Chart of Accounts, and tax matters.
