FOU Site Manager

Site Manager – Foundations required for a Major Offshore Wind Developer based in the Netherlands.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the on-site focal point for all fabrication-related activities on behalf of the Employer.
  • Coordinate local interfaces between fabricator(s), designer, QA/QC, and other contractors.
  • Ensure compliance with Employer’s Requirements regarding HSSE, quality, and schedule.
  • Support contract-related processes such as payment certification, variation orders, and claims.
  • Work in close alignment with the Quality Team to monitor progress, hold points, and non-conformities.
  • Provide regular reporting to the Foundation Package Manager and contribute to project-wide updates.
  • Participate in pre-fabrication onboarding and familiarisation to align with the Employer’s Requirements.
  • Act as the primary on-site representative, managing daily communication and coordination with the Contractor’s site team.
  • Coordinate with Foundation Package Team, Quality Team, and T&I representatives to ensure design compliance and interface alignment.
  • Support contract administration through documentation of milestone completions and validation of payment certificates.
  • Assist the Quality Team in setting up and supporting the local site QA/QC presence.
  • Monitor fabrication progress, identify bottlenecks or risks and push for timely mitigations.
  • Ensure safe site operations and enforce compliance with HSE standards and legislation.
  • Support the review and handling of variation orders, concession requests and claims.
  • Chair weekly site progress meetings and represent the project during audits, inspections or internal visits.
  • Provide input to monthly project reporting on progress, HSSE, risk and resource issues.
  • Assist in the witnessing of critical inspections and FATs (e.g. dimensional control, fit-outs).
  • Support closure of non-conformities prior to load-out and ensure proper documentation.
  • Host and coordinate site visits, including induction and PPE provision.

Requirements

  • 10+ years relevant experience in offshore steel fabrication, including serial production of WTG foundations.
  • Formal HSE training and qualified to IOSH or SMSTS standards.
  • Deep familiarity with offshore fabrication standards (welding, coating, NDT, dimensional control) and experience working with international fabricators.
  • Strong site leadership, coordination, and communication skills with a proven ability to manage cross-cultural teams in remote, high-pressure environments.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English.
