Foundation Installation Engineer required for a major offshore wind developer based in Germany
Responsibilities
- HSE performance through design and implementation to eliminate or reduce risks during construction, operation and maintenance
- Evaluation of potential ports as port for storage and load out of foundations
- Prepare and execute relevant documents for the FOU installation ITT Technical evaluation Transportation and Installation proposals during tender stage
- Support of the Contract manager in the preparation of variation orders and claims
- follow up the preparation for execution activities and required interfaces, and support on technical aspects of the transportation and installation.
- coordinate within the project of assignment, as well as across-projects (with similar roles in other projects) to ensure delivery as per objectives and company standards (including but not limited to).
- Review method statements and risk assessments and produce comments sheets.
- Perform or oversee engineering calculations
- Advise on the contract technical requirements,
- Write the technical specifications,
- Assess the technical aspects of tenders
- will assist the Engineering Manager with tasks associated with ensuring a safe design and may be asked to give advice to risk and programme reviews
- Provide input to the risk and programme analysis.
- Respond to technical queries or interface with other packages/Contractors to resolve queries
Requirements
- Engineering background with strong knowledge in foundation installation incl. selection of the right tools for monopile installation (impact hammer, drill), noise mitigation, noise monitoring and a focus on installation of transition pieces and/or secondary steel structures
- Significant experience in the offshore wind industry (5+ years)
- Significant and in-depth experience in Project Management of offshore foundations in either the Offshore Wind Energy industry or Oil & Gas
