An international offshore wind developer is delivering a landmark offshore wind farm off the coast of South Korea. As the project advances into execution, they are seeking a T&I Manager to take a leading role in the Transportation & Installation of foundation structures (piles and jackets).

This Seoul-based position is a unique opportunity for an experienced offshore wind professional to join a pioneering team driving Korea’s green energy transformation. Relocation support and expat onboarding are available for the right candidate.


The Role:

As the Foundation T&I Manager, you’ll lead and coordinate the safe, timely, and technically sound transport and installation of WTG foundations. You’ll act as a key technical authority, ensuring that engineering, procedures, marine spread, and execution plans meet project and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Oversight

  • Review and challenge installation methodologies for piles and jackets for WTG foundations

  • Evaluate contractor procedures, risk assessments, and engineering deliverables

  • Ensure compliance with DNV, ISO, and local regulatory requirements

Marine Equipment & Methodology Expertise

  • Understand offshore installation vessels, cranes, barges, and contingencies

  • Conduct vessel suitability surveys and pre/post load-out inspections

  • Coordinate with the Marine Warranty Surveyor (MWS) for all marine operations

Project & Contractor Management

  • Liaise closely with the FOU Package Manager, T&I contractor, fabricators, and designers

  • Organise technical meetings, track actions, and manage interface resolution

  • Review contractor claims and schedules with a focus on cost and programme control

Risk & Safety

  • Lead risk assessments, HAZID/HAZOP studies, and emergency response planning

  • Ensure strict adherence to HSSE standards across all operations

Leadership & Mentoring

  • Guide and mentor junior engineers

  • Lead the internal FOU T&I team through planning and execution


What You Bring

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Marine Engineering (or related discipline)

  • Experience:

    • 10+ years in offshore wind or oil & gas, with direct T&I experience on piles and jackets

    • Deep knowledge of offshore lifting, transportation, and installation methodologies

    • Proven ability to challenge contractors constructively and drive technical excellence

  • Skills:

    • Strong project and contractor management abilities

    • Excellent communication in English (Korean is a plus, not a must)

    • Ability to thrive in a multicultural, high-paced environment
