Our client is seeking a professional with a robust background in electrolysis processes and a deep understanding of various engineering disciplines. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional leadership capabilities, adept at managing diverse and multinational engineering teams. Your extensive experience, organisational skills, and adept people management abilities will be instrumental in driving the success of our projects.

The role:

  • Coordinate all engineering aspects of standalone green hydrogen projects, renewable fuels, and CO2 capture initiatives.
  • Lead a diverse team covering project engineering, process engineering, layout and piping engineering, electrical-instrumentation-automation engineering, installation, and civil engineering.
  • Manage engineering processes throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the engineering team.
  • Engage with customers to clarify, discuss, and present technical solutions.
  • Serve as the escalation point for customer and supplier inquiries regarding technical design topics.
  • Cultivate a collaborative and innovative team environment to foster creativity and problem-solving.
  • Set clear objectives and performance expectations for team members, offering regular feedback and coaching.
  • Report to the leader of the green hydrogen business and the global director of engineering for P2X solutions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (chemical, process, mechanical, or electrical).
  • Extensive experience in electrolysis processes and engineering of electrolysis plants.
  • Minimum of ten years in leadership positions within the engineering industry.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive improvement initiatives
  • Track record of building and developing high-performing teams.
  • Strategic mindset with forward-thinking capabilities.
  • Fluency in English and German.
  • Willingness to travel.
