The Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Development to lead and manage the development of renewable energy projects from concept through to Final Investment Decision (FID). This is a senior leadership position that will oversee the entire development process, ensuring that projects are delivered within defined timelines and budgets, while managing project directors and fostering professional growth within the team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the full lifecycle of renewable energy project development, from initial concept to FID.
- Oversee project directors, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
- Drive project strategy, ensuring that all development milestones are achieved on schedule and within budget.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to secure necessary permits, approvals, and financing.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring regulatory, environmental, and technical compliance.
- Support the professional development of team members, fostering a high-performance culture and continuous improvement.
- Contribute to the broader strategic direction of the company, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and objectives.

Key Requirements:
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in renewable energy project development, with a proven track record of delivering projects at FID.
- Strong knowledge of the regulatory, technical, and financial aspects of renewable energy project development.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to mentor and support the professional growth of team members.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in engineering, environmental science, business, or a related field.
