HSE Manager

My Client is a leading provider of renewable energy solutions, dedicated to advancing sustainable technologies. We specialize in solar energy, battery energy storage systems (BESS), and virtual power plants (VPP), contributing to a cleaner, more resilient energy future.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated HSE Manager to oversee health, safety, and environmental practices for our offshore wind projects. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with all regulations, implementing best practices, and fostering a culture of safety across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safety Management:

    • Develop, implement, and maintain HSE policies and procedures in accordance with local regulations and industry standards.
    • Conduct regular risk assessments and safety audits to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
    • Lead incident investigations and ensure corrective actions are implemented effectively.
  • Compliance and Reporting:

    • Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental legislation.
    • Prepare and submit HSE reports to senior management and regulatory bodies as required.
    • Monitor and analyze HSE performance metrics, providing insights for continuous improvement.
  • Training and Awareness:

    • Develop and deliver HSE training programs for all levels of staff and contractors.
    • Promote HSE awareness and a safety-first culture through workshops, seminars, and communication initiatives.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:

    • Collaborate with project teams, contractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure HSE standards are met.
    • Act as the primary point of contact for HSE matters and provide expert advice and guidance.
  • Emergency Preparedness:

    • Develop and implement emergency response plans and procedures.
    • Conduct drills and training sessions to ensure readiness for potential emergencies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Safety Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in HSE management, preferably in the offshore wind or energy sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of HSE regulations, standards, and best practices in the offshore industry.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to develop and interpret safety metrics.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Professional HSE certification (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) is highly desirable.
  • Both Mandarin and English speakers only

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with project management in offshore wind or renewable energy sectors.
  • Familiarity with environmental management systems (EMS) and ISO standards.
  • Proven track record of implementing successful HSE initiatives and cultural change within organizations.
