HVDC Project Lead required for a major Transmission Systems Operator based in Germany.
Responsibilities
- Project Focus: Delivery of specialist project leadership for power electronics within the HVDC system, emphasizing onshore and offshore converter systems.
- Additional Sites: Occasional travel for supplier coordination and project discussions.
- Lead the technical project management for HVDC systems within NSC2, including onshore and offshore converter stations.
- Coordinate and manage the entire specialist team, from tendering to contract award and execution.
- Act as the primary technical contact for HVDC system-related matters, ensuring alignment with internal and external stakeholders.
- Oversee quality and contractual compliance throughout planning and implementation phases.
- Support technical evaluations and risk assessments during project execution.
- Ensure compliance with relevant standards (e.g., NABEG, BNetzA, BSH) and environmental regulations.
Requirements
- Completed master’s degree (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Proven experience in HVDC systems and converter technology.
- Strong knowledge of high-voltage and extra-high-voltage technology (AC and DC).
- Familiarity with relevant standards and regulations.
- Excellent communication skills in German (native level) and English (business fluent).
- Proficiency in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Ability to work independently and manage complex technical projects.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.
