Interconnection Specialist
Key Responsibilities:

Manage the end-to-end interconnection process for large generator projects, coordinating with cross-functional internal teams and subcontractors.

Lead and review the development of electrical system design, including technical drawings and modeling packages.

Submit and manage interconnection applications, ensuring all documentation and modeling requirements are accurately completed and submitted on time.

Act as the technical lead and escalation point for all interconnection-related matters across projects.

Maintain oversight of interconnection procedures, regulatory updates, and technical standards across ISO/RTOs and major utilities.

Provide QA/QC on internal and third-party deliverables related to interconnection scopes.

Collaborate with clients and serve as the primary point of contact for interconnection strategy and execution.

Support business process improvement by developing and refining internal procedures to drive consistency and efficiency.
Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.

PE license (Power discipline) strongly preferred.

Minimum of 5 years’ experience managing multiple interconnection scopes across utility-scale renewable energy projects.

Strong understanding of ISO/RTO processes and utility interconnection requirements.

North American project experience with working knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and regulatory frameworks (FERC, NERC, etc.).

Experience selecting and specifying electrical equipment (e.g., transformers, switchgear) and developing project deliverables.

Proficiency in tools such as ETAP, SKM, Smart Plant Electrical, MS Visio, and MS Access.

Strong interpersonal and client-facing communication skills.

Proven ability to mentor junior staff and coordinate multi-disciplinary teams.

Entrepreneurial mindset with interest in supporting business growth.
Preferred Experience:

Background in wind, power-to-X, or hybrid project development.

Experience working with or within engineering consultancy or EPC environments
