Role Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Wind Developer to oversee the development of wind projects from inception to the permitting phase. This role will be responsible for identifying viable sites, securing land, managing stakeholder relationships, and guiding projects through the regulatory and permitting process. The Wind Developer will play a crucial role in advancing our wind portfolio in Italy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and evaluate potential wind project sites, including resource assessment and feasibility analysis.
  • Secure land for project development by negotiating land lease agreements with landowners.
  • Manage the permitting process, ensuring compliance with local, regional, and national regulations.
  • Engage with local communities, government bodies, and key stakeholders to foster positive relationships and ensure project acceptance.
  • Coordinate environmental and technical studies necessary for project permitting and compliance.
  • Collaborate with internal engineering and financial teams to optimize project design and viability.
  • Track project milestones and maintain timelines to ensure on-schedule progress through development stages.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations on project status and development milestones to internal stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Renewable Energy, or related field.
  • Proven experience in wind project development, with a solid understanding of the Italian permitting and regulatory environment.
  • Strong knowledge of land acquisition, site assessment, and feasibility analysis for wind projects.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills for engaging with landowners, government bodies, and local communities.
  • Familiarity with GIS and wind resource assessment tools.
  • Fluency in Italian and English.
