Taylor Hopkinson is in the search of a Legal Counsel/Manager for a global leader in the energy industry, currently expanding its business in Poland.
The role is based in Warsaw, with the possibility of having a hybrid work.
Responsibilities
- Support business development and cross-functional teams in drafting, negotiating and advising on project-related documentation, including EPC agreements, land options, leases, grid connection agreements, PPAs, tender documents, etc
- Manage risk control for investments in solar, energy storage and wind projects, including acquisition planning, contract drafting and review, risk assessment and mitigation, and oversight during project construction
- Lead legal work through financial close, including reviewing and drafting loan agreements, security packages and common terms agreements, and coordinating with lenders’ legal advisors
- Research local laws, regulations and policies (company, investment, land, construction, civil, commercial, and energy-related regulations) and assess their practical application to projects
- Monitor and interpret laws and regulations relevant to each project and ensure compliance
- Coordinate, supervise and support external law firms to deliver high-quality legal services
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Law (Master’s appreciated)
- Experience handling legal matters in the renewable energy sector, particularly in project development
- Fluency in Polish and English
- Availability to travel when required, mainly to local projects and authorities
