Logistic Supervisor

We are working with a leading company in the renewable energy industry who are supporting some of the flagship offshore wind projects in South Korea.
We are supporting with their hiring for an experienced Logistics Supervisor to join their construction team on a long-term basis based in Yeonggwang, South Jeolla Province.

Job description:
1.  Manage logistics and installation subcontractors with expertise in logistics, Incoterms 2020, customs procedures, and subcontractor relations in South Korea. Develop and maintain a database of qualified subcontractors for transportation and lifting of wind turbines, optimizing contracts and risk management processes.
2.  Oversee the PTCI components of bidding documents for wind turbines, identify deviations, obtain subcontractor quotes, and collaborate on pricing and project scheduling. Prepare risk assessments to control costs and ensure financial safeguards for project risks.
3.  Employ skilled contract review and negotiation techniques during subcontractor engagements, ensuring terms and pricing are aligned with overall project terms. Manage contract risks and enforce company policies strictly.
4.  Manage subcontractor performance, including financial guarantees and payments. Address operational challenges in coordination with local subcontractors and project teams, ensuring seamless integration of transport and lifting operations.
5.  Evaluate subcontractors based on their performance and communication, updating the management system to enhance future cooperation.
6.  Monitor project and production schedules to ensure all operations and materials meet the required standards and timelines for the specified locations.
7.  Assist in managing warehouse operations and inventory at both the country and project levels, ensuring efficient stock management.

1.  Bachelor’s Degree or higher in a relevant field.
2.  5-10 year’s hands on experience in a relevant field.
3.  Excellent acknowledgement of P & T resource in local market, and relationship development and management skills.
4.  High level of knowledge of local and international supply chain management.
5.  Bilingual in Korean and Chinese is required.
