Logistics Coordinator

Logistics Coordinator required for a major Offshore Wind Farm Developer based in Dubai.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Offshore Construction Manager/O&M Operations Manager with onshore operations at the Marine Base.
  • Responsible for maintaining and documenting spares and stores of consumables.
  • Coordinating deliveries to the marine base of parts, tools, fuel etc.
  • Create and maintain a manifest of spares and a list of equipment to be mobilised/demobilised to/from the offshore site.
  • Coordinating services including waste removal, cleaning etc.
  • Coordinating rotations of offshore welfare, comms with supplier and movement/loading of.
  • Coordinating servicing and maintenance of Marine Base equipment.
  • Provide progress reports as required.
  • Attend regular site meetings.
  • Work with the relevant HSE Advisor to conduct inductions and toolbox talks where necessary.
  • Liaise with the Harbour/Council and local stakeholders for site.
  • Undertake light regular maintenance of marine base equipment as required.
  • Undertake regular inspections of marine base equipment.
  • Movement of goods around the marine base using forklift including handling of COSHH.
  • Operation of the harbour cranes to load and unload vessels.
  • Giving familiarisation training on the crane to required personnel.
  • Rigging and management of rigging ensuring all is certified and inspection regime in place.
  • Management of Dangerous goods, writing Dangerous Goods certificates for any relevant goods to be shipped to site.
  • Responsible for general cleanliness and security of the O&M warehouse and marine base.
  • Prepare, pack and transportation of tools and equipment for maintenance activities.
  • Management and use of tools, test equipment and personal protective equipment.
  • Reporting on inventory status using software systems.
  • Use of operations management systems and planning tools.

Requirements

  • Experience of rigging, crane operation, COSHH regulations and forklifts is essential.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a comparable role.
  • Experience in Warehouse, Logistics and Port management is desirable.
  • Previous knowledge/experience of offshore wind farm construction is desirable.
  • Forklift Licence (must be able to drive up to 3T fork).
  • Dangerous Goods certificate.
  • Fluent English both verbal and written.
  • Evidence of industry specific technical training.
  • All current offshore certifications BOSIET/GWOs.
  • Knowledge of LOLER and PUWER regulations.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications (Preferable).
