Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Logistics Technician to join our Supply Chain and Logistics team in Spain. This role will be critical to ensuring the efficient and timely delivery of materials, components, and equipment required for our renewable energy projects. The Logistics Technician will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to coordinate and optimize logistics operations, manage inventory, and ensure compliance with local and international shipping regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage the transportation, storage, and distribution of renewable energy components, materials, and equipment.
- Optimize logistics processes to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods to project sites across Spain and internationally.
- Collaborate with suppliers, manufacturers, and logistics providers to ensure smooth and efficient supply chain operations.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels, ensuring the availability of critical parts and materials for ongoing projects.
- Track shipments and provide regular updates to internal teams on the status of deliveries and potential delays.
- Ensure compliance with all local, national, and international regulations related to shipping, handling, and transport of renewable energy equipment.
- Identify and resolve logistics issues and bottlenecks, working closely with cross-functional teams to maintain project timelines.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to shipments, deliveries, and inventory.
- Assist in the development and implementation of logistics strategies to support large-scale renewable energy projects.
- Support the logistics team in identifying and evaluating potential logistics providers and partners.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or transportation, preferably within the renewable energy or manufacturing sector.
- Knowledge of local and international shipping regulations and customs requirements.
- Proficiency in logistics software and tools (SAP, ERP systems, or similar).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate with diverse stakeholders.
- Fluent in Spanish and proficient in English (both written and spoken).
