Manager, Continuous Improvement & Local IT Services

We are supporting a leading provider of advanced energy storage solutions, designing, manufacturing, and marketing both current and next-generation battery technologies. As they continue to grow and innovate, they are seeking a forward-thinking Manager, Continuous Improvement & Local IT Services to oversee and lead the work of team and contribute to the organisation’s goals.

The Role
The role covers two distinct functions within the IT space that being to drive data analytics and support business decision-making processes, and be responsible for managing the IT services and operations within Australia. Covering the supervision and performance of day-to-day operations of the Australian IT infrastructure (network, hardware, security, and other peripheral items directly or indirectly associated with the infrastructure) impacting local users, as well as working closely with internal stakeholders to identify, design, and implement new data analytics and reporting solutions. The role owner will seek to identify potential areas for improvement in collaboration with the business and address new requirements in data analytics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to develop and implement new tool-based data analysis and reporting solutions. This includes integrating data from different sources, ensuring data accuracy, and providing training and support to end-users.
  • Focus on continuous improvement, drawing conclusions, identifying potential improvement areas, and recognizing new business aspects/problems for data analytics: Continuously evaluate data processes and systems to identify areas for enhancement. Draw conclusions from data analysis to recommend improvements and address new challenges in data analytics.
  • Aligns the business strategy and direction from IT leadership and Steering Committee with the IT strategy to ensure both are working towards the same overall business goals and be a voice to the business and IT when these goals are not aligned.
  • Manage the local team and promote the processes/procedures which provide services to all personnel and delegates duties to IT personnel as required.
  • Regularly communicates and collaborates with peers and colleagues from other countries and other parts of the IT organisation. Shares information and insights – where applicable.

Requirements

  • Proven working experience as an IT Manager or as an ERP Data Analyst or relevant experience in a similar role relevant experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information science, mathematics, engineering.
    Oracle ERP Cloud certification preferred but not essential.
  • Experience leading and managing large IT projects and rolling out IT solutions across various technologies. Proven experience working with Management and Senior Management across the business. Strong knowledge of ERP systems in the manufacturing/supply chain sector and data analysis tools.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Experience in the manufacturing, energy, or industrial sectors is an advantage
