Mechanical Engineer
You will work on two major sub-projects currently under construction: 1. Marine Terminal Upgrade: Enhancing an existing terminal to support staging of wind turbine components for the Empire Wind project. 2. O&M Base Construction: Building a facility for long-term operations and maintenance of offshore wind assets, including wharfs for service and crew vessels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead mechanical engineering activities for the Marine Terminal project
- Oversee design, specification, and installation of:
- Mechanical equipment
- HVAC systems (O&M base)
- Plumbing systems
- Fire protection systems
- Ensure compliance with:
- Project requirements
- Equinor standards
- Relevant codes and regulations
- Serve as Project Engineer for temporary facilities (warehouse, offices)
- Support other project tasks as assigned
Professional Level:
- Master’s degree + 4+ years experience
- OR Bachelor’s degree + 8+ years experience
- OR 2+ years higher education + 12+ years experience
- OR No degree + 15+ years experience
Principal Professional Level:
- Master’s degree + 8+ years experience
- OR Bachelor’s degree + 12+ years experience
- OR 2+ years higher education + 16+ years experience
- OR No degree + 20+ years experience
- Strong knowledge of NYC building codes and standards
