Taylor Hopkinson is searching for an experienced Mechanical Engineer for PV for a global Independent Power Producer in the renewable energy sector.
The job location is Romania.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise mechanical system installation and assembly, ensuring compliance with engineering standards and safety protocols.
- Study project designs, crosscheck for errors, and report discrepancies to the Construction Manager.
- Monitor construction progress, quality control, and material receipt, reporting to the Construction Manager.
- Conduct site inspections to verify correct installation and address deviations.
- Implement and monitor quality control procedures for adherence to project specifications.
- Assess subcontractors’ work quality and report any quality breaches.
- Enforce safety protocols for a secure working environment.
- Maintain accurate records and communicate design changes to subcontractors.
- Collaborate with other engineers to align mechanical systems with project design.
- Provide training and guidance to ensure proper system operation and maintenance.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
- Required on-site construction experience.
- Energy project experience is advantageous.
- Strong skills in organization, communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal interactions.
- Proficient in English and native Romanian.
- Expertise in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel) and AutoCAD software.
- Willingness to relocate to the project site.
