Offshore HV Cables Engineer

Role Summary:
Seeking an experienced electrical engineer to lead technical oversight and delivery assurance for high-voltage (HV) subsea cable systems within an offshore infrastructure project.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for a key cable supply contractor, ensuring timely and compliant delivery across all stages of design, production, and handover.

  • Conduct thorough reviews of engineering outputs, with a focus on thermal calculations and sizing to inform cable selection.

  • Manage documentation, quality checks, and certification processes in collaboration with third-party verifiers.

  • Coordinate cross-functional efforts across project teams and external stakeholders to resolve interface issues and maintain technical consistency.

  • Attend factory testing events and maintain records, actions, and risks related to the cable scope.

  • Drive improvements based on lessons learned and industry best practices, ensuring adherence to international standards and client expectations.

Qualifications & Profile:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar technical field.

  • At least 5 years of experience in the field of power transmission, particularly subsea or buried HV cables.

  • Familiarity with engineering tools for cable system modeling (e.g., ELEK, CYME, FEM-based software).

  • Strong communication, document handling, and collaboration skills, ideally with experience in large-scale infrastructure project environments.
