Taylor Hopkinson has partnered with offshore wind developer in Korea who is looking for Offshore Project Logistics Manager. This is responsible for the management of offshore logistics operations, including the chartering, inspection and associated marine logistics.
Responsibilities
- Issue and own vessel sourcing strategies including technical specifications, crew and ports requirements in line with internal corporate requirements and offshore wind industry best practices for vessel operations.
- Schedule and coordinate vessel mobilization and operations such as scheduled and unscheduled maintenance in alignment with internal priorities.
- Conduct vessel inspections, audits, and compliance checks aligned with HSE, class standards and internal requirements.
- Ensure compliance with South Korean cabotage laws, international maritime regulations, and insurance requirements.
- Maintain records of vessel certification, audit findings, and inspection reports.
- Contribute to the optimization of contingency planning related to major corrective maintenance campaigns by way of leading vessel sourcing, chartering and long-term framework agreements.
- Draft, negotiate and manage marine logistics contracts using BIMCO or other relevant forms e.g., SUPPLYTIME, WINDTIME, bare boat, etc.
- Maintain supply chain market records aiming at efficiently sourcing and contracting marine spreads.
- Contribute to developing and implementing a roadmap for efficient sourcing and monitoring vessel logistics, by identifying and addressing capability, compliance, and resources.
- Lead the development of internal procedures, templates, and checklists for vessel chartering, inspection, and performance monitoring.
Qualifications
- Degree in Marine Engineering, Maritime Logistics, Offshore Operations
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in offshore vessel operations and/or chartering preferably in offshore wind, oil & gas, or other relevant maritime sectors.
- Strong working knowledge of BIMCO charter parties (SUPPLYTIME, WINDTIME, etc.).
- Experience with vessel vetting, inspection protocols, and marine compliance.
- Fluent in both English and Korean
